Why Children Lose Psychic Ability as They Age

I’ve often wondered why so many children stop seeing spirits and interacting with invisible playmates as they start school. My grandson, Sidney, is the main character in my book, The Sid Series ~ A Collection of Holistic Stories for Children. These stories mention some of the psychic gifts he manifested at an early age. See

My son, Sidney, showed psychic ability when he was younger. I think he gets it from his mom. Now that he's in school he doesn't talk about his experiences as much, but he does have some pretty profound dreams.

I can remember a time our family was watching slides from Europe. My daughter was around 3. Suddenly she looked up at a photo of Italian ruins and said, "Mommy, Mommy, remember when I was there?" Chills ran down my spine. I'm sure it was a past life memory.
