Clearing Entities and Earthbound Spirits

Disincarnate spirits (“deceased” human beings) can exert a subtle or direct influence—both good and bad—upon humans. They may influence us without our awareness by offering inspiration that we express through writing, speaking, and other creative or artistic ventures. Or they may tempt us to do something harmful to a living creature or distract us from doing something that we know is in our best interest.

It is easy to distinguish between more evolved and less advanced spirits. The language of more evolved spirits is honorable and free of bias; these may be our spirit guides. Lesser evolved spirits may use harsh language and urge us to react to situations through our ego rather than responding through the mind/heart of God-Goddess. The ego believes in the need to suffer, feel guilty, judge self and others, and do whatever it takes to defend its position.  There are more humans inhabiting the planet than ever. That means there are a higher number of entities on the Earth plane as well. Author Ethan Vorly shares that entities are the unresolved karma or crystallization that was housed in the astral body of someone who has died and was not cremated. We know that fire and smoke are purifying agents, and this is probably why many ancient cultures performed last rites for a departing soul and burned the physical body on a funeral pyre. This is said to dismantle the astral body and transmute its negative karma. If this is true, then it certainly explains why we have seen such a huge increase in violence, depression, and suicide since embalming and burial became the preferred method of disposing of a physical body upon death.  The energetic pattern that was attached to the astral body of a human host during an incarnation is shed like a snake skin when that host dies. As the soul ascends into higher planes and crosses into the light, the astral body is left behind to roam the Earth plane where it seeks a new host with a similar frequency. During the ascension, people are suddenly becoming more able to see, feel, hear, sense, and even smell the presence of earth-bound spirits. I’ve dealt with earthbound spirits on many occasions. Jesus confronted them as well; if someone asked Him to remove the “demon” (as they were called in the Bible), He obliged.  Earthbound spirits feed off the energy of humans in order to remain active. They target humans who have similar fixations as their own. It might be someone with a drug or alcohol abuse problem, someone with emotional distress in their life, trauma, abuse, or someone who is simply ungrounded or not fully participating in their own spiritual development. So when an earthbound spirit finds a human in a state of despair, having weak or no boundaries, the earthbound spirit may attach itself to that person’s electromagnetic energy field that surrounds the body and is sometimes referred to as the aura. Not only does the entity start siphoning energy from the host, the negative energy of the entity contaminates the aura, causing the human host to feel out of sorts, have dysfunctional thoughts, feel physically sick, experience rampant emotions, or have cravings that are not their own. You may find them interesting and informative.  The best way to keep entities away is to raise your personal vibration through spiritual purification practices. Keeping your thoughts pure requires a constant effort, but as you vibrate at a purer level, these entities are less apt to bother you. It also helps to keep your aura close to your body and remove any negative or stuck energy so that these entities are no longer attracted to you. Keep focusing on the light within you, using affirmations, mantras, and clearing exercises such as smudging with sage. If things are really bad or an entity has been attached to your home or auric field for some time, you might want to use the alcohol and Epsom salt recipe mentioned in my book about personal ascension.  As you start to clear your field and remove layers of unresolved karma (anything not aligned with the law of grace), things can seem worse rather than better for a short while. I urge you to persevere and not quit in the process. For example, once you have cleared (or while clearing) a negative mental pattern, you may expose a dark entity, which was feeding on the energy surrounding a misaligned thought pattern. The issue brought to the light removed the entity’s energy source, which can feel unsettling for the host and the entity. Since at some time in your past you gave the entity permission (most likely you were unaware of doing so) to stay and influence you, you are the one who needs to dismiss it from its duties and help it move on.  Dr. Caron Goode says that when she did past life regression, hypnosis, and light-trance sessions, she always asked the client, “Why did you create or attract this entity?” Rather than trying to “drive out demons” you may simply need to thank the entity for the purpose it served and send it into the light. However, to get an entity to go into the light, it must first realize that there is a light to go into and that it will be a pleasant experience—many do not want to go there for fear of punishment.  Remember, earthbound souls are former humans now without bodies. The reason souls become earthbound is due to their emotional problems, and just like humans in a body, they need healing. Remain non-resistant by offering compassion to these lost souls. They need the same love and light we do. They don’t respond well to techniques that attempt to remove them by force. In fact, this can make things worse because even if the entity leaves, it may only be temporary, and when it returns it may be angry and seeking revenge.  The reason many clearings fail is because the person doing the clearing does not open the entity to its deeper subconscious feelings. Entities need to recognize and heal their deeper emotional scars. Free them from their misery by helping them see the role they are playing in the lives of embodied souls. Ethan Vorly writes: “Once the entity feels these deeper underlying emotions, it automatically allows the light in, which quickly transforms it. They are always sorry for what they have done and become loving beings as they are absorbed into the light where they are freed from all pain. Are There Ghosts Or Entities in Your Life

Going beyond the tales of ghosts that we have all heard in stories, television and in books. I have found that entities and some ghosts are involved in most people's lives often without them knowing it.

Most ghosts are simply beings that have died and generally due to their own fears when they were alive decide not to move on to an after life. In some cases the death was so abrupt that the ghost never realizes that they have transitioned. In other situations people that have a great fear of death resist the transition so strongly that they remain on this plane as a ghost.

In a slow process all ghosts lose their connection to living life and basically drift as lost spirits with a few purposes or missions that they are steadfastly connected to. That is why a ghost will stay in a place and do one specific behavior such as; defend a home from intruders. That mission was important to them when they were alive. In most cases ghosts are a little more than a nuisance.

Entities on the other hand are more disturbing; they can influence your disposition to life, drain your energy, create illnesses and more. In my experience in removing entities I have seen a wide variety of ailments/behaviors that quickly left once the entity was removed such as: an unexplainable illness that no one seemed to be able to identify the cure, noises or voices that occurred in the person's mind that would not go away, suddenly tiredness, depression, headaches, being angry or aggressive for no apparent reason and more.

There are a variety of entities that attach to people and pets. They come from dimensional planes that function at a lower vibrational rate than ours. When they come here they are mostly attracted to people whose mindset matches the entity's own vibration. As a result people that have lots of anger, rage, guilt, addiction or other limiting emotions are the entity's preferred choice. There are exceptions as people that are very evolved can have entities as well.

Places that are most likely to have entities are hospitals, bars, mental institutions and other places. Basically the places that have elements of fear (which is the basis of rage, addiction, trauma, guilt etc...) generally attract more entities. I worked with a woman whose right side of her body was numb. She had recently been released from an institution for addiction to pain medications. After in intense hour of removing the entities (all done over the phone) her body was back to normal. Many cases of mental illness can have an ingredient of entities that influence the person's mental stability.

Remove Entities and Take Back Your Life

Entities are disembodied souls that have not made the full transition to the other side, or gone 'into the light.' For one reason or another, they have chosen to remain on this earthly dimension after their human existence has ended in physical death.

There are several reasons why a soul may choose not to leave the earth plane at the time of death. There may be a loved one who they do not want to leave, or 'abandon,' such as a child or romantic partner. It may involve an addictive behavior, such as gambling, excessive drinking or sexual obsession. Whatever the motivation, the soul remains close to the human realm and sometimes interacts with people who are still very much alive... even though such a person may not be consciously aware of the interaction.

Over the years, I have worked with people around the world who are experiencing issues with entities and have found that there is a wide range of situations involved.

What I'm referring to is a situation where a disembodied soul actually merges into the body of a human being and cohabits with the soul of the host body. Quite commonly it involves a person whose energy field is in a weakened or vulnerable state. This may be the result of emotional trauma, physical illness, use of drugs or pharmaceuticals, or other such scenarios. Once the entity has linked into the human body, it can be quite difficult to disengage it.

Consider, as an example, a client whom I've renamed 'George.' He came to me because of emotional issues in his life stemming, in part, from an addiction to gambling. He was struggling to understand what was going on within himself. Sometimes he felt an inexplicable sadness, without any apparent cause. Other times he felt energized, on top of the world - fired up and ready to hit the casinos. The mood swings were unpredictable, and they were, understandably, taking a toll on his relationship with his partner. As I began to work with him, it became obvious that he had an entity, sometimes referred to as an 'uninvited guest,' lodged within.

One of the characteristics of entities is their desire for concealment so as not to be discovered. As I began to speak directly to the entity inside George, it was startled to be recognized and directly addressed. As I began to converse with the entity, it became clear that it had had a long, established, co-dependent relationship with George, dating back 20 years or more. Being inside of George was simply its way of perpetuating addictive activities, from which it derived great pleasure. As it turned out, George's penchant for gambling had begun shortly after the death of his father. And it may well be that the emotional trauma surrounding his father's death weakened George's defenses, providing an energetic doorway for the entity to come in.

Perhaps it would be helpful to explain how I verify whether, or not, an entity is present and how I establish contact with it. Thanks to my inner vision, or clairvoyance, I am able to 'see' an entity, even if the client is not in my physical presence. When looking directly at a person who has an entity, it appears as a cloud-like silhouette lurking inside the individual's eyes.

At the point at which the entity is actually 'seen,' I receive guidance in the form of an inner voice that usually confirms the entity's presence. Deep, concentrated focus on the entity draws it into fuller, more conscious contact with me, so that I may begin to communicate with it. Although the entity is normally quite shocked that it has been discovered, it almost always responds to my introductory questions and, in most cases, reveals his or her name and the circumstances surrounding how it got there.

Going back to my work with George, following my normal procedure in such cases, I reminded the entity that it did not have George's permission to reside within his body. And, that it was George's desire for him to leave - now. There clearly was no animosity between the entity and George. In fact, the entity exhibited a great deal of concern and compassion about George's future well-being, since they had both become accustomed to living together as one. Their farewell to each other was very touching and tearful, each blessing the other with words of kindness and appreciation.

At this point, I routinely call in two angels to escort the entity to the Schools of Wisdom within the higher dimensions. The shift in energy in George's eyes was profound. And George, himself, expressed a feeling of new found spaciousness within his own body - a feeling of freedom he could not recall having ever experienced before.

Once the entity has been released, I go through a similar process to determine if another entity may also be present. My experience has shown that where there is one entity, there are often two or more.

In the case of George, a second entity was indeed lurking within. This one was totally surprised to be detected; it had hoped to enjoy the new sense of expansiveness within George, now that the first and more influential entity had been removed.

Following a similar procedure, the second entity was released into the higher realms. But in this case, there was clearly not the depth of connection between the entity and George, although it had resided within George since childhood. Having this second and final entity purged from his body, George felt a tremendous sense of relief and liberation, knowing that he was finally poised to fully reclaim his life. His tears of liberation and gratitude were palpable.

One of the most gratifying rewards of this work is that the effects are experienced immediately and the evidence of a successful clearing is tangibly visible and felt.

Several telltale symptoms are sure-fire giveaways that an entity may be present. Experiencing frequent mood swings, feeling emotionally depressed or low in energy over an extended period of time, including chronic fatigue syndrome, having addictions, or avoiding direct eye contact are just a few of the signals that indicate the possible presence of an entity.

Why might energy depletion be linked to an entity? An easy way to think of it is to consider the body as a complete unit - in other words, 100% 'you.' If part of your energy field is drawn upon by an entity, there is less than 100% left for you to live the life you want to lead.

One might also question why an addiction may be associated with an entity. Consider people who have lived a life addicted to taking chemical substances, drinking alcohol, overeating, excessive shopping, or any of a number of other seemingly unstoppable habits. Despite the fact that human life ends at some point, the soul lives on without end. And in some cases, the soul does not wish to give up these tantalizing activities. By remaining within the field of human life, an entity has the opportunity to continue to experience the pleasures of the addictive behavior through the body of a host - usually an unsuspecting host.

In fact, for those psychics with the gift of sight or clairvoyance, it is not surprising to see many entities 'floating around' in bars, gambling casinos or other locations where addictive behaviors are continually lived out. Many entities are literally laying in wait for the opportunity to merge into a person whose defenses are down, such as someone who is inebriated, so they can begin to imbibe, once again.

Having acknowledged this, I want to emphasize that entity situations do not always imply a host with unsavory habits. In some cases it may simply be a codependent attraction between two souls, oftentimes stemming from a close soul connection over multiple lifetimes. In such instances, the intent is anything but malevolent. However, an entity situation is never in the highest good of either the person or the entity and, therefore, should be remedied as soon as possible.

My work in dealing with entities grew out of energy healing work, as it became apparent that physical and emotional disturbances are sometimes the result of an 'uninvited guest' coexisting within the person's energy field. My spirit guides have been instrumental in teaching me how to recognize the presence of entities and facilitate their removal in a loving and compassionate, yet strong and straightforward manner. As with any form of healing, a precondition of entity removal is the expressed desire and full cooperation of the person involved.

Having performed countless sessions - each unique in its own way - what has been consistent are the profound changes that have taken place in the individual as a result of the entity's removal. And with this comes the knowledge that there is real hope for thousands of people around the globe who are craving to lead healthy, emotionally fulfilling lives, but have not been able to access the right key. This work proves that there is a remedy and that the key is within reach.

Ghosts, Spirits and Hauntings

We're all fascinated with ghosts. There are so many television programs that center around ghost hunting such as Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Most Haunted and Ghost Lab.

Shows about paranormal research, haunted houses and ghosts caught on tape are becoming more and more popular. True ghost stories have gained the attention of millions of viewers.

Ghosts and hauntings have become a focus of entertainment, mainly because we want to know more about what ghosts are and why they're here.

There is a difference between ghosts and spirits, and is explained as follows:

Spirits

Spirits are the energies of deceased loved ones and friends who have died and gone into the Light. However, they do have the ability to visit us, and they do very often. They can come and go as they please between our world and the Other Side.

Spirits are not bound by space and time like humans are. They are pure energy and move about effortlessly. Spirits love to let us know they're with us and that they aren't far away at all.

Ghosts

Ghosts are the energies of people who, for their own reasons, are earthbound. Basically, ghosts are:

1. People who have died suddenly and don't know they're dead
2. People who are attached to loved ones or places and don't want to leave them

Hauntings occur when a ghost feels threatened by our presence, or feels we're invading the space they once occupied, or is angry because their lives ended too soon.

If you feel your home is haunted by a ghost, you can try to get rid of them by firmly asking them to leave, and explain that they're no longer alive and must go to the light. You can also ask spirit to escort them to the light.

While ghosts may haunt houses and will do so for many years, spirit will come to get them eventually. Until then, we need to have more compassion and understanding for them, and look at their existence from their point of view.

The Main Reason People Are Affected by Entities or Earthbound Spirits

We are in a time of expansion both as a planetary shift and as a race of evolving human beings. The reason we see so much violence, social upheaval, and physical planetary changes right now is because Earth is expanding through the fourth dimension of “hell.” Since we are along for the ride, this expansion is affecting all living things on the planet.
Earth is surrounded by a dimension where negative human thought forms are collected and earth-bound souls reside. Earth-bound souls are human spirits who have died without enough consciousness to get themselves through the 4-D barrier and “go through the tunnel light” and enter the fifth dimension. Christians would describe the beautiful, peaceful, light-filled fifth dimension as “heaven.”

Because being immersed in a sea of negative thoughts is emotionally torturous and the soul cannot die, the fourth dimension could be considered the “hell” mentioned in the Bible. A person who is able to see into the fourth dimension would see the energy of the first three chakras, which are red, orange, and yellow. This dimension would look like fire.

Most souls stuck in the fourth dimension have an addiction to substances such as drugs, alcohol, food, sex, power, money, or control of others. They desire to relieve their addiction by obtaining their substance of choice. Thus, they live vicariously through humans by attaching themselves to the body of a one who is practicing a similar addictive behavior or using substances in a harmful manner. These entities feed off of the energy or rage, anger, greed, fear, and inappropriately expressed sexual energy.

People who are most susceptible to being drained by earth-bound souls are those who are not in control of their emotions, and are operating empathically without any energetic boundaries or protection in place. When untrained, these highly-sensitive people (empaths) are like psychic sponges soaking up all the negativity within the fourth dimension. This is why so many people who are depressed and suffering from anxiety attacks can sense something bad about to happen even before it’s noticed in the physical dimension.

So what do we do about this? First of all, get help in overcoming any addictions you may have! In order to find peace, empaths must learn to clear and protect their auric fields and begin to connect with the Divine within themselves and in Mother Nature. I teach how to do this in two of my books. Whose Stuff Is This? ~ Finding Freedom from the Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You teaches how to set boundaries with entities (see chapter 10). It’s the training manual for highly-sensitive who truly want to understand and begin to use their empathic gift for the good of all.

Once you understand and begin practicing the concepts in that book, you will find the next step toward spiritual evolution in Shifting into Purer Consciousness ~ Integrating Spiritual Transformation with the Human Experience. That book teaches how to shift your negative thoughts and raise your vibration so you are no longer bothered by souls in the fourth dimension. Then, you can begin to work with more evolved spirit beings who can help you discover your authentic self and develop your mission and purpose for being on Earth during such a time of transition.

Is there something we can do to help these souls (earthbound spirits) get free? I’m glad you asked! Yes, we can send divine energy to them to help them make their transition into the fifth dimension. If you are sensitive to earth-bound spirits or are a medium, you may have a special gift for helping the souls make their transition. However, anyone can provide energy to anyone, in body or not.

The best and most powerful kind of energy we can offer them is forgiveness. Due to their insatiable desire to acquire substances while in body, many of these souls perpetrated harm upon others. They may feel guilt, shame, or that they will be punished if they go into the tunnel of light. Our ego or small self would certainly agree that they do deserve punishment, but our Divine self would say, “Grace and peace be unto you!” or “There is no condemnation in the Christ Consciousness!”

Here’s a simple ritual to use for assisting lost souls:

Light a candle and call in the helpers who walk with you in spirit: angels, archangels, ascended masters, celestial light beings, etc. Ask them to assist with this energy work. Using your imagination, create a ball of light in front of you. Send love, forgiveness, grace, peace, harmony, and other positive energy into that ball of light. Offer this light to your beloved spiritual helpers and ask them to distribute it to those in the fourth dimension who are asking for help. Ask your guides to create the tunnel of light and show it to the “deceased” and let them know it is safe to enter paradise.

Yes, this is very much like the Catholic faith practice of praying loved ones out of purgatory. There is truth and beauty in every religion!

The Influence Ghosts Have upon Human Emotions

An entity is anything that feeds off your energy or emotions. It can be a thought form, an energy pattern, or a soul tie (a hook to or an attachment from one or more persons), or an earthbound spirit. Some people believe entities are conjured by human thoughts and fed by negative emotional energy. Regardless, of whether others think they are real or imagined, if they bother you, then they exist for you and must be dealt with.
Some entities can move objects and cause electrical disturbances, but they can’t physically harm you. They can influence you by infiltrating your thoughts; and their very presence may disrupt your energy field and cause emotional upsets. In fact, some of the negativity or detrimental energy you feel right now could actually be a result of an entity in your house or one that is attached to your energy field.

A portal of light is opened when someone dies and this window of opportunity remains open for a short while during which a soul can make a choice to go into the light or stay in the earth plane. Some souls cross over almost immediately, probably because they were spirituality evolved or had their “bucket list” checked off and all their loose ends tied up. Some souls fear they may be punished and take too much time deciding whether or not to cross over and go into the light. Thus, they become earth bound. Whatever beliefs, emotions, or knowledge a soul has when departing from the body is carried into the afterlife. Many times when a soul leaves the body abruptly, it is confused and may not cross over to the other side or go into the light.
Mary Ann Winkowski is the consultant for the creators of the CBS show, The Ghost Whisperer, in which Jennifer Love Hewitt stars. Mary Ann has seen and communicated with earthbound souls since she was four years old and is able to create the light and give earthbound souls a second chance to cross over. • They are attached to things such as jewelry, cars, houses, furniture, or places where they lived, found comfort, or died.
• They fear judgment or punishment on the other side

Some entities are spiteful and refuse to give up their attachment to the earthly realm. These earthbound spirits feed off of our energy and target humans who have similar fixations as their own: drug or alcohol abuse, emotional indulgences, trauma, or someone who is ungrounded and not fully participating in their own spiritual development. When an earthbound spirit finds a human in a state of dissension, having weak or no auric boundaries, the spirit may attach itself to the victim’s energy field. This is not a possession. I believe that only one soul can inhabit a body at a time, but a person with an entity attachment may feel out-of-sorts, have dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and cravings that are not their own. You or someone in your family may be dealing with the energy of earthbound spirits regardless of whether you see, hear, feel, or sense their presence.

Knowledge is power. As you learn to follow your own heart and develop spiritual intelligence, you may feel the need to set boundaries with disembodied souls. That is not a difficult thing to do. Angels, archangels, enlightened beings of love, and your personal spirit guides are always ready and willing to help you with any request. Call upon archangels Michael and Chamuel to help earthbound spirits find a place of peace in the afterlife. Other methods to keep these entities away include raising your personal vibration, keeping your aura clear and close to your body, removing negative or stuck energy so these beings are no longer attracted to you.

There are times when a spirit may have a personal message for you or another person. If you can deliver the message without causing discomfort to yourself or someone else, you may want to do so in order to help the soul find closure and move on. Whenever you sense an entity around you, ask it, “Who are you and what do you need?” If the spirit is not courteous enough to answer those two questions, it should not be permitted to stay in your presence. Using your intention or a visualization, set a boundary around your body, home, office, car, possessions, or children that serves as an impenetrable wall to keep that spirit away from you and your property. Some people use salt or herbs to cleanse an area and put up the protective barrier, but all rituals and prayers use the power of intention to shift energy.

Protect yourself from the depression, anxiety, fear, addictions, suicidal tendencies, phobias, relationship difficulties, and other problems caused by entity contamination. Stand in your power and do not allow a ghost to frighten you or your children.
