How to Detect the Presence of Ghosts and Other Spirits

By Nathaniel Webb

Haunting happens - it's more popular than many people would like to think. One of the practical aspects of every book that discusses ghosts and other paranormal activities, is a way to test if your house is haunted. In other words - how to detect the presence of ghosts and spirits? There are many ways to do so, that I'm going to describe right now.

Cold Spots

One of the most popular phenomenons regarding haunting and ghosts is called "cold spots". As the name states, those are the spots of cold air that can be sensed out of nowhere. Imagine that you're walking through warm corridor, and suddenly you can sense cold space. You're making few steps forward, and it's warm again. You're going back, and cold spot is still there. It is believed for cold spots to be places where ghosts and spirits draw psychic energies to sustain their own "life" energies. Just be careful not to consider air-conditioner for paranormal activity, please.

Sensing the Presence

Another way to detect the presence of ghosts would be to literally sense a presence of someone or something, when physically there's no one around - no people, no animals. Like you stand in the kitchen, and out of no where you can sense there's someone else in the room - you're looking around, but there is nothing but dinner on the table.

Mood changes

Ghosts and spirits, depending on their nature, can change mood in single room, or whole room. Imagine that you're watching good comedy in TV and suddenly you want to cry - it might suggest there's some sad spirit in the room. Spirits and ghosts can also create happy mood, or negative or even aggressive emotions.

Objects moving

Some intelligent spirit (meaning conscious ghosts) can move objects with invisible means. Different items might disappear and then appear in completely other place, or ghosts might also move things while you watch them (it's quite an interesting view, I have to admit).

Those are active ways of detection. You can also detect ghosts with passive means, this is - by assuming that things like weird shadows, or astral lights might suggest a presence in the building. Sometimes also nightmares, or obsessive thoughts, and finally weird behaviours of animals might suggest some paranormal activity in your house.

As you can see, there are quite a few methods of detecting the presence of ghosts and spirits. Keep them in mind, but remember to remain skeptical - not every air-conditioner is ghost.

Carl David Speaks About His Brother's Suicide

Our podcast guest, Carl David, is the third descendant of a four-generation art dealer family specializing in American and European seventeenth, eighteenth, nineteenth- and twentieth-century paintings, watercolors, sculptures and drawings.

In part one of this 3-part interview, Carl talks about his book, Bader Field, and his father, Sam David, as they logged hundreds of flight hours reveling in their shared love for flying twin-engine airplanes. Carl also speaks about the suicide of his teenage brother, Bruce, and the impact that the self-inflicted death of a loved one has on an entire family. No one saw it coming. Back then, people didn't talk about suicide and there wasn't much help because getting psychological help had a stigma attached to it.

The family was just getting over Bruce’s death when the patriarch, "Pop" died. Carl assumed a new role as an art dealer when he picked up his father's art business, David David Galleries on Rittenhour Square.

Listen to part one by clicking on the arrow in the player below:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One thing that helped Carl and his family move past such devastation is the spiritual strength they found within themselves, their closeness with one another, and the afterlife visitations that Sam’s and Bruce’s spirits have paid them. In part two Carl talks about these unusual visitations that include a twin-engine airplane and audible voice. We will also talk about the soul aspects of his brother and his father that Carl sees in both his sons. Carl says the following about death:
"There is no such thing as death; only a change in form as we leave one world and enter another. The only remnants are the fleshy bodies which identified the soul which resided within. The body is a vehicle for movement, for gathering of earthly experiences, for a full range of emotions, for a total collection of situations, obstacles, and solutions as they are overcome. It is the building which houses our black box; a permanent record of events and lessons which will be taken to the next worlds as we are ready to enter them for the continuation of our education. The curriculum never ends; it just changes format with each accumulation of knowledge from the preceding realm."
There is no shame regarding someone who commits suicide. We should try to prevent it because of the devastation it causes those who love the person, but it has little impact on the soul. We are here to learn lessons. if we don't learn them before the body wears out, we get a new body and come back to try again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In part three Carl and Yvonne discuss art as a form of spiritual expression. For many years Carl has a mysterious unsigned painting at the gallery. After a spirit visitation at the art gallery about two years ago, he realized the woman in the painting is his maternal grandmother, whom he had never met. Here is a photo of that beautiful painting.

What makes art valuable? Hear Carl's explanation by clicking the arrow in the player below.

The art piece created by Yvonne and Randy Perry (below) is mentioned. Please leave your comments about how this painting speaks to you. There is a giveaway mentioned in our interview, so be sure to listen and take action!

Prayer to Keep Ghosts Away and Help Souls Cross Over

A friend of mine that I met in a Facebook community shared a story about his intuitive gifts beginning to open up. I’ll call him Dee to protect his identity. This experience was frightening for Dee at first because he began sensing earthbound spirits around him while he was in the synagogue. First of all, let me remind everyone that we all have spirits around us—its’ just a fact of life—but most people don’t see, hear, or sense them.

Dee’s story brought a flood of love and joy to my heart chakra. Instead of rewriting and retelling his story in third person, I’ll simply copy and paste what he shared in the group. I’m sensing that someone reading this blog needs this information.

I closed my eyes and sought out to discern the presence. I felt the same confirming sensation I had when I encountered something in the synagogue. I smiled warmly and said quietly, "Well... hello! When did you get down here?" It was a young girl, I guessed to be around 8-11. She was shy and about as startled as I was. She pulled back some but stayed in the room, listening to me. I told her she was welcome to stay as long as she could behave herself and respect some boundaries. With my wife fussing for me to come up to eat, I left her to the room.

Later that evening when putting my three daughters to bed, I could feel her in their room. My oldest daughter, who has been watching me with great interest since my empathic revelation, also picked up on this. We suddenly smelled lilies in one area of the room. There were a few more incidents like that through the evening, each time accompanied by the lily scent.

When I went to let the dogs out later that night, my daughter was outside with me, barraging me with questions. Suddenly I felt the girl’s spirit about 25 feet from us, with a strong scent of lilies again. We both stood there. My daughter said, "She's here again, isn't she?" I confirmed. As the girl walked closer to us I felt her presence pushing into my aura shield. The hair on my arm closest to her immediately stood on-end and I had the obligatory goosebumps to boot. She walked right between me and my daughter, trailed by the lilies. For a few minutes we could sense her in different areas of the backyard. We lingered for a few minutes until it seemed like she left.

The next morning when I awoke, I went back down to the lower level to plop on the sofa for a few more minutes of precious shut-eye before getting ready for work. After my alarm went off I slowly sat up and put my feet on the floor. Suddenly I heard one of the kids' electronic educational toys start up. The spirit girl was playing with it! ;D I chuckled, said “good morning” and told her to have fun. My daughter called me later in the day to give me a brief on how things were going. Her "friend" would come and go through the day.

I recalled from the night before, when I smelled the flowers outside, I also smelled fresh earth. I felt an inclination that she was a recent passing and possibly in need of help. I decided on the way home, I'd stop by a cemetery that was within walking distance of our house. I even felt which area I needed to investigate. Sure enough I found it. Born April 16th, 2000, passed on March 27, 2011. I felt so sad for her. I knelt there and spoke a few minutes out loud. I spoke encouraging words, told her I also didn't understand why things happened the way they did. I said she was welcome to visit with us anytime she wanted, as long as she would honor boundaries. I said with YAH's help I would do whatever I could to help her. I spoke a few more things and finally ended up encouraging her to go to the light, that YAH was there and it would be okay. He'd help her and explain things to her.

When I was at the little girl's gravesite, I saw a mist-like figure walk by. I felt strongly motivated to tell the other spirits not to follow me home. I came there respectfully and expected the same from them. I wish I had a mentor nearby!

As I got home and the night went on, I kept searching for her presence but it never came. A longing sadness began to gnaw at me as I started to wonder what it meant. When my oldest daughter returned from choir, she asked me if I'd sensed the little girl. I told her how I'd been feeling. She started tearing up, and said how when she was eating a bite downstairs she felt a wave of sadness come upon her. We both stood together and sobbed (other family members oblivious to it all). The sadness we felt was not of an evil variety; it was more like the sadness felt upon a loved one's departure. Oy, so much to bear. I never would have guessed a month ago something like this would have happened. Adonai certainly does work in mysterious ways at times, like the old saying goes.

Dee’s wife is angry at him for having these abilities. She avoided sleeping in the same room with him for two nights following the event and hasn't spoken about it since. Like Dee, when I was younger I had no one I could trust to talk to about things like this. My first marriage ended in part because of the spiritual awakening I was experiencing at the time. As a religious church attender, I didn't have a clue what to do about these souls who were coming to me for help.

Other people on the FB chat chimed in with comforting comments about how they also sense the presence of ancestors, friends, and pets who have passed on. Some have had night visitations in which dark entities tried to crush the breath out of them. I had a similar experience when I was in my twenties. I would interact with dark beings during my dream states and be paralyzed as I awoke. All I knew to do was call on Jesus and the angels for protection and comfort. That's exactly what one needs to do--call upon your trusted guidance of light beings who have a pure vibration. They will assist you, I assure you!

There’s no need to be afraid of the earthbound spirits around you. Spirit visits are very common and nothing to be alarmed about. Most are not wishing to harm you. Some souls need help finding the light.  I am so proud of Dee for what he did to help this little spirit girl. He did the right thing in setting boundaries with other entities while assisting this little girl's soul to cross over.

Unless you know how to help them, I don’t advise you to acknowledge the presence of earthbound spirits unless you are willing to engage with them and open yourself up to more visits. However, you may be called to do this type of mediumship work, but remember you don't work alone in this task. Ask the angels, archangels, and ascended masters to assist you and surround you with their purest light.  Ask them to deal with the lost soul as you focus on the love and light within you. For many years I have assisted earthbound spirits in crossing over. Here is a prayer I use for this purpose:

Thank you, ALL THAT IS, for awakening my divine Ka and helping me merge my higher self with my physical body and to embody divine master presence and Christ self in a loving and gentle way. My body is the temple of light in which Christ presence dwells. Thank you for allowing me to accept and experience myself as one with you.

The Violet flame of St. Germaine surrounds me to deflect detrimental energies/entities. Archangels Michael and Chamuel are in place to help lost souls find the light and cross over into a peaceful place in the afterlife. I trust that this process is occurring without my being consciously aware of it and without having to interact personally with these lost souls.

I have no fear because the love of I AM casts out all fear. I have a sound mind that thinks in line with ALL THAT IS. I am willing to change, grow, evolve, and ascend in order to accomplish my divine mission in this lifetime.

Thank you for allowing me to know freedom from my ego and to be at complete peace.

So it is now and forever.

Whatever gifts you have been bestowed with will come forth as the earth continues to experience a shift into a purer consciousness. Everyone is opening up to the spirit world.

Is This Our Last Day on Earth?

I heard the rumor about tomorrow being the day prophesied by Christians to be the rapture when those who adhere to a certain dogma will be snatched from the earth and the rest of us left to face the aftermath. Naturally, when this many people believe something, it has an effect upon the mass consciousness of humanity. Therefore, a lot of empaths are sensing fear, unrest, and sorrow. Some are reporting an ominous feeling that something horrible on a planetary scale is about to occur, so I want to address this.

Those whose empathic and psychic abilities are keen, are picking up on the collective fear that is being generated by the millions of fundamentalists who believe that tomorrow is the day that Jesus Christ will return to collect His people. Thus, according to this legend, a vast number of humans will be suddenly exited from the earth in mass numbers by something similar to an abduction by aliens. A lot of folks are panicking about this possibility, but why? Okay, so it could happen, I guess. But, people have cried wolf, saying for a thousand or more years that the rapture is coming.  Many have prophesied rapture dates that have come and gone without event.

My personal guess is that nothing catastrophic is going to happen: no rapture, no polar shift, no meteor hitting the earth, etc. However, I'm not discounting that some a huge catastrophic event such as the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and other horrific natural events could occur. We have seen many signs that the earth is rocking and reeling as it nears the center of the Milky Way Galaxy as discussed by Gregg Braden in his book, Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age. But no matter what happens, we have nothing to fear. We are spirit beings having an earth experience. We will continue to exist in peace, love, and light in the afterlife no matter when or how we exit the earth plane.

If you read yesterday's post, "Unlimited God," on Whose Stuff Is This? blog, you realize that we cannot be separated from our creator. We are of the Light and will eventually return to the Light--whether tomorrow or a hundred years from now. So, no panic is necessary. Quite the opposite: holding peace and love in our hearts and mind and sending that out to the collective consciousness may very well have a calming impact to help avoid planetary upset on a wide scale.  The earth is a conscious living, entity that is effected by the emotions of her inhabitants. Send her the energy of the Love that you are! Be the peace that you desire. Forgive all offenses and see everyone as part of you and God/Goddess.

Is There Any Evidence for Life After Death?

Find out today on We Are One in Spirit Podcast as LavendarRose interviews scientific researcher and spiritualist author Dr. Jan Vandersand. They will be discussing his research and the paranormal events he has written about in his book, Life After Death: Some of the Best Evidence.

Many people do not believe in the afterlife because they say it can't be proven. But what you experience is yours and yours alone. It is not necessarily up for debate, nor does it need proof.

Jan W. Vandersande Ph.D. has described in considerable detail some of the best evidence that he is aware of for life after death. He has based this evidence on his own experiences, which include sittings with trance mediums and channelers, and also sitting quite regularly over an eight year period in a circle in which he witnessed physical phenomena such as trumpets flying around the séance room, direct voice, and ectoplasm. All his experiences are described in detail.

Additionally, three of his close friends witnessed full materializations numerous times and one of them, Professor Jack Allen, photographed ectoplasm coming from the medium as well as two full materializations. These four photographs are shown in the book.

MP3 File

Jan is a scientist and has a technical background that has nothing to do with spiritual matters. Learn how he got involved in communicating with the disembodied spirits and paranormal experiences that provide evidence for life after death such as those he describes in his book.

MP3 File

His experiences have made it possible for him to critically read a lot of the existing literature on psychic phenomena. He has cited numerous cases, which he believes are genuine and are some of the best evidence for life after death. These cases come from channelers, trance mediums, direct voice and materialization sittings. Several materialization mediums are discussed in detail, and some photographs of ectoplasm and full materializations are shown and are compared to the ones taken by Professor Allen. Considerable emphasis is placed on materializations since they are the most impressive evidence for life after death.

The author also considers alternative explanations for these psychic phenomena such as fraud, telepathy and “super-ESP”, but in all the cases he documents the survival of life after death hypothesis is the most likely explanation.

Jan W. Vandersande Ph.D. received his B.A. with honors from Swarthmore College, his M.Sc. in Physics from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He was a lecturer, then an Assistant Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand and then a visiting Associate Professor at Cornell University. Before working at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) –part of Caltech/NASA- for eleven years he was a stock market analyst at the brokerage firm Rodman & Renshaw in Chicago for a year. At JPL he was a Technical Group Leader and worked on power sources for space applications. After leaving JPL, he was the President & CEO of the AMEX listed company Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. for eight years. Currently he is the Director of Communications for the Hi-Tech company VIASPACE Inc. He has had over 80 scientific articles published in scientific journals and conference proceedings and has three patents.

All answers are within the heart!

Recently, I recorded a podcast with Janice Mickle, who provides shamanic healing, energetic healing work, and spiritual counseling. Her personal mission is to help others understand and embrace the knowing that we are all spiritual beings, each being is complete and perfect, and all answers are within the heart.

In the third segment of the 4-part show, Janice talked about conscious dying, which is end-of-life transition assistance for someone who is ready to peacefully transition to the afterlife. n part three, Janice discusses this process. She is considering starting a class to teach others how to do this for a loved one. I think the readers of this blog might be interested in knowing more about this topic, so I'm sharing the audio here.

In this segment, she also discussed soul retrieval. When a person is wounded or abused mentally, emotionally, physically, or sexually, or has had a traumatic experience such as witnessing death or killing someone during wartime, the soul may fragment and parts may leave the body. This is commonly known as dissociation or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). These fragments of the soul can be retrieved and reintegrated into the body using a journeying technique known as a soul retrieval.

I Still See Pap!

Death is a difficult subject for adults to understand. Children have an even harder time trying to grasp the concept. That someone they love is not coming back.

When a family experiences the death of a loved one, adults may try to explain to the kids that their deceased loved one is in heaven or a better place. Most people believe in an afterlife in which the soul or spirit that was inhabiting a human body continues to live in some realm of consciousness. Yet many adults tell children that their loved one doesn’t exist anymore. It’s hard for kids to understand and accept this as reality—especially when they continue to see the one who is supposed to be “deceased.”

My grandfather, whom we called Pap, died in 1988. That was more than a year before my brother and his wife had children. Imagine the surprise when their first-born son was about two or three years old and reported that Pap was in his room at night!

Being fundamentalist Christians, we did not take well to having spirits messing with our kids. We concluded that this entity could not be Pap for three reasons: 1.) according to the teachings of our religion, Pap was in heaven and could not possibly manifest on Earth; 2.) my nephew was afraid of the entity, so it must not have been a friendly spirit—although my grandfather was quite a jokester; 3.) our family did not believe in ghosts; therefore, they could not visit us! But we did believe in demons so we rationalized that we were under attack. We exorcised the child’s room and forbade the evil presence from coming near my nephew again. Ghosts comply with our requests when we intentionally set strong boundaries. Sadly, Pap did not return.

As I look back on that event from a different and non-religious perspective, I should have realized that the visitor was indeed Pap. Since my nephew had never met his great-grandfather, he would not have called the visitor Pap unless the ghost had identified himself as such. Those of us who knew Pap could have embraced the visitation with love and gratitude rather than fear and retaliation. The way we handled this episode caused my nephew to be fearful of the spirit world.

My grandmother and I had been visited by Pap’s spirit several times since he had passed. But I somehow dismissed all remembrance of those events when my nephew reported seeing Pap. Our experience conflicted with our dogma. Now, I jokingly say that if your experience doesn’t align with your theology, by all means change your experience! We couldn’t possibly alter our beliefs!

Pap loved my brother and me very much and I’m sure he would loved to have known our children. It was only natural that he would visit us and them from time to time just to check in.

If your child reports seeing a ghost, validate his experience so he will continue to trust his intuition. There is nothing to fear. In fact, this event can provide the perfect opportunity to bring better understanding about the unseen realm and death. You might ask the child if he knows the ghost’s name. If he identifies a loved one who has passed, find out if the ghost has a message for the family or if there is something the family can do for the ghost. Many times our disembodied loved ones simply stop by briefly to let us know all is well in the afterlife or to see how everyone is doing. If this is the case the spirit visitor will probably leave on its own.

However, if the family agrees that the ghost needs to leave immediately and not come back, you can lovingly set boundaries with the spirit. Simply call upon the angels of light and love to lead the spirit to a peaceful place in the afterlife where the soul development can continue.

There’s a Ghost in Our House. Can We Keep Him?

by Yvonne Perry

American people have a great interest in the subject of the paranormal and especially ghosts. Ghost Whisperer and Medium are very popular TV shows and millions each week view Sci-Fi, Discovery, and Travel channel that air documentaries about ghosts and psychic phenomena.

Approximated one-third of Americans believe in ghosts, and twenty-three percent say they have interacted with a ghost. The truth is ghosts, angels, spirit guides, and entities are around us all the time. Their impact on us and our lives is unmistakable, but we have been taught to disbelieve in them or ignore their presence during our normal waking consciousness. If we do have a supernatural experience and share our story with others, we may be told it is only our imagination. Some people may think we are crazy.

Ghosts live in the world of subtle energy, which seems to exists outside of our physical world and beyond the range of our five senses. However, ghosts can and do interact with our physical world and have been known to open doors, hide things, make noise, move furniture, and turn electronic equipment on and off. If you have a ghost in your home, you can either banish it or you can allow your otherworldly visitor to stay. After all, ghosts are people who were formerly alive and breathing but no longer have a physical body. Like those of us in body, each ghost has a distinguishing personality. Some are loving and some are not. Others are looking for help, reassurance, or guidance. Most disembodied souls are too frightened to take their next step in the afterlife. Your coaching these “lost” souls may help them find peace and confidence to cross over into the light.

If you decide to allow a ghost to be part of your family, you must be clear about your rules, boundaries, and limitations. Let the ghost know it will have to leave if your rules are not followed. If your ghost is causing disturbances in your home, or if its behavior threatens your safety or the safety of others, or you/your family feel afraid of it, then it is time to have it move on.

Knowing how to ignore the presence and avoid the influence of entities and environmental energy can be a good thing for those who are so energy sensitive that they see, feel, and hear in another dimension much of the time. These people, known as empaths, are described in Whose Stuff Is This? Finding Freedom from the Detrimental Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You. An empath is sensitive to what is obvious as well as unseen things such as ghosts and the thoughts, emotions, and illnesses they sense around them. Empaths may get hunches, see mental pictures, hear voices, or have a gut feeling that supplies hidden information about people and situations. They may also get a physical sensation in their body that lets them know where another person is afflicted or suffering.

Is Sleep Walking Related to Astral Travel or Projection?

Have you ever wondered why some kids (and adults) are prone to taking a stroll about the house during the night? Regardless of age, we are all more open to spiritual exploration during our sleep. Children—especially intuitive children—are easily able to tap into the spirit realm night or day. It’s no surprise then, that an intuitive child when deeply asleep is totally in another zone—an “out of body” experience in which some aspect of the human psyche actually travels to other dimensions.

Astral projection and astral travel are common among spiritually-gifted kids. It is important to understand the difference between astral travel and astral projection.

Astral travel is a process of projecting the consciousness into visual scenes. In meditation we might call this journeying or visualization. Some intuitives (empaths) may actually feel as if they are in the place imagined. However, astral traveling does not remove us from the physical body.

Astral projection is when our astral body actually travels to other places. This mainly occurs while asleep in dream states. The rapid eye movement phase is normally aligned with this phenomena. The person is only aware of the experience if he or she has memories afterward. Although we all have out-of-body experiences from time to time, there are those who can intentionally project their astral body and have a genuine experience while awake.

Sleep walking is caused when the astral body is unable to release itself from the physical body. The desire to project will animate the physical body without conscious awareness. A sleep walking person should not be awakened while in this state. Instead, help direct and get them back in bed and allow them to awaken on their own.

Yvonne Perry's grandson, Sidney, was prone to sleep walking episodes when he was younger. One night his mother, Amanda, awoke and saw Sid standing at the foot of her bed. She was about to ask him to go back to bed when she realized it was his astral body and not his physical body standing there. Naturally, she was startled and jumped out of bed to check on him. She found him sound asleep in his own bed in his room. This demonstrates astral projection.

Our bodies are able to perform automatic functions like walking, drinking, urinating, or driving while having an out-of-body experience. You’ve probably found yourself so deep in thought while driving that you got from point A to point B without not being aware of how you got there. Perhaps you were deep in a daydream while walking and didn’t realize you had crossed the street until you “came to." I’ve left my house many times so preoccupied with thoughts that I couldn’t remember whether or not I turned off the stove or let down the garage door. However, my body automatically performed these functions while my mind strayed. It’s the same way when you are asleep or having an astral projection or sleep walking.

The Influence Ghosts Have upon Human Emotions

by Yvonne Perry

An entity is anything that feeds off your energy or emotions. It can be a thought form, an energy pattern, or a soul tie (a hook to or an attachment from one or more persons), or an earthbound spirit. Some people believe entities are conjured by human thoughts and fed by negative emotional energy. Regardless, of whether others think they are real or imagined, if they bother you, then they exist for you and must be dealt with.
Some entities can move objects and cause electrical disturbances, but they can’t physically harm you. They can influence you by infiltrating your thoughts; and their very presence may disrupt your energy field and cause emotional upsets. In fact, some of the negativity or detrimental energy you feel right now could actually be a result of an entity in your house or one that is attached to your energy field.

A portal of light is opened when someone dies and this window of opportunity remains open for a short while during which a soul can make a choice to go into the light or stay in the earth plane. Some souls cross over almost immediately, probably because they were spirituality evolved or had their “bucket list” checked off and all their loose ends tied up. Some souls fear they may be punished and take too much time deciding whether or not to cross over and go into the light. Thus, they become earth bound. Whatever beliefs, emotions, or knowledge a soul has when departing from the body is carried into the afterlife. Many times when a soul leaves the body abruptly, it is confused and may not cross over to the other side or go into the light.
Mary Ann Winkowski is the consultant for the creators of the CBS show, The Ghost Whisperer, in which Jennifer Love Hewitt stars. Mary Ann has seen and communicated with earthbound souls since she was four years old and is able to create the light and give earthbound souls a second chance to cross over. In her book, she gives several reason why souls do not cross over immediately.
  • They are attached to things such as jewelry, cars, houses, furniture, or places where they lived, found comfort, or died.
  • They fear judgment or punishment on the other side
  • They are seeking revenge or pursuing justice
  • They want to protect the living
  • They are busybodies who don’t want to leave
Some entities are spiteful and refuse to give up their attachment to the earthly realm. These earthbound spirits feed off of our energy and target humans who have similar fixations as their own: drug or alcohol abuse, emotional indulgences, trauma, or someone who is ungrounded and not fully participating in their own spiritual development. When an earthbound spirit finds a human in a state of dissension, having weak or no auric boundaries, the spirit may attach itself to the victim’s energy field. This is not a possession. I believe that only one soul can inhabit a body at a time, but a person with an entity attachment may feel out-of-sorts, have dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and cravings that are not their own. You or someone in your family may be dealing with the energy of earthbound spirits regardless of whether you see, hear, feel, or sense their presence.

Knowledge is power. As you learn to follow your own heart and develop spiritual intelligence, you may feel the need to set boundaries with disembodied souls. That is not a difficult thing to do. Angels, archangels, enlightened beings of love, and your personal spirit guides are always ready and willing to help you with any request. Call upon archangels Michael and Chamuel to help earthbound spirits find a place of peace in the afterlife. Other methods to keep these entities away include raising your personal vibration, keeping your aura clear and close to your body, removing negative or stuck energy so these beings are no longer attracted to you.

The book I wrote with Dr. Caron Goode offers dozens of exercises to help clear and protect your personal aura or energy field. Learn more about WHOSE STUFF IS THIS? Finding Freedom from the Detrimental Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You at http://whosestuffisthis.com/ .

There are times when a spirit may have a personal message for you or another person. If you can deliver the message without causing discomfort to yourself or someone else, you may want to do so in order to help the soul find closure and move on. Whenever you sense an entity around you, ask it, “Who are you and what do you need?” If the spirit is not courteous enough to answer those two questions, it should not be permitted to stay in your presence. Using your intention or a visualization, set a boundary around your body, home, office, car, possessions, or children that serves as an impenetrable wall to keep that spirit away from you and your property. Some people use salt or herbs to cleanse an area and put up the protective barrier, but all rituals and prayers use the power of intention to shift energy.

Protect yourself from the depression, anxiety, fear, addictions, suicidal tendencies, phobias, relationship difficulties, and other problems caused by entity contamination. Stand in your power and do not allow a ghost to frighten you or your children.

My Virtual Blog Tour for My Book, Whose Stuff Is This?: Finding Freedom from the Negative Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You, is Complete!

My virtual blog tour for my book, Whose Stuff Is This?: Finding Freedom from the Negative Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You, is complete. Here are the stops from the final week.

Monday, March 21 - Reno Lovison Marketing Communications Services presented an article titled “Authors Must Learn to Sell What They Write.” I shared some of the mistakes I made in promoting my first two books and gave some tips on what to do to ensure the successful launch of your book. See Business Card to Business Blog: http://businesscardtobusiness.com/.

Tuesday, March 22 - Anne Lyken-Garner has a media release about the many ways that we are connected: the air we breathe, our basic needs and physiology, and energetically/spiritually. No one feels the power of this connection more than the energy-sensitive people, who unknowingly pick up on the detrimental thoughts, feelings, and even the illnesses of others and their environment. Read more on Anne’s blog: http://www.abloggersbooks.com/

Wednesday, March 23 - Being empathic is not a burden you must bear anymore. You can learn to shut out unwanted energy and keep others from violating your personal boundaries. First, you have to set boundaries. Dr. Caron Goode, who wrote the foreword for the book, presented a book excerpt on her blog, Kids Who See Ghosts: http://kidswhoseeghosts.com/.

Thursday, March 24 - Faith Ranoli interviewed me on Heart and Home Radio Show about how as an intercessor, I picked up the illnesses and emotional pain of those I prayed for. Everyone is intuitive and has the small, still voice inside if we will just listen, but not everyone is empathic. Some are too empathic and allow compassion to go too far. Ranoli said of my book, “ Designed especially for empaths, this book teaches healthful living, good spiritual practices, and gives helpful tips for living a safe and energetically balanced life.” Listen to the interview at http://healthylife.net/RadioShow/archiveHH.htm.

Friday, March 25 - Vonnie Faroqui shared an article titled “Being Non-Resistant Means Never Having to Say You’re Sorry.” Being non-resistant is the embodiment of the often misunderstood feat of “turning the other cheek.” We’ve often thought that phrase meant that it is honorable to let people walk all over us. Turning the other cheek actually means standing in your place of power and letting things flow through you without getting stuck. Monday, March 28 - Dr. Caron Goode shared an excerpt from my book. See Raising Intuitive Children blog: http://raisingintuitivechildren.com/. Caron and I believe this book will benefit many people and help get them moving toward better health and emotional balance. Bulk orders (10 or more) of this title are available at a discount to bookstores, counselors, and retailers who wish to offer the book to clients or resale the book. Contact us for the discount code.

I am very thankful for all of you and the support you provided to help me launch my book. I’m very impressed with everyone who participated. The tour went smoothly without a glitch; everyone posted the material we sent you on time, and we had some great comments from your readers. I hope you enjoyed being part of this networking activity and found it beneficial.

Gratefully Yours,

Out of the Mouths of Babies!

Author Yvonne Perry is the paternal grandmother of a intuitive child named Sidney, who is now nine years old. Before Sidney started school, he would stay at his grandparents’ house some weekends. They did all kinds of fun things together.

One day when Sidney was with his grandmother (known as Von-Von), he kept repeating, “Hannah, Hannah, Hannah.”All day long he called the name. Yvonne said she felt like he was trying to give her a message, but she also thought he was too young to be channeling. At about nine months old, he wasn’t even talking more than a few words.

Finally curiosity got the best of her and Yvonne called Sidney’s mom, Amanda, hoping to get some more information. Amanda had a friend who a daughter named Hannah. Amanda and Hannah’s mom gave birth within a few weeks of one another but they lost touch a few months later. The last Amanda knew about her friend was that she had a drug problem. Amanda and Yvonne said a prayer of protection for Hannah while they were on the phone. Amazingly, Sidney stopped repeating the child’s name after that.

The next week Amanda received a call from someone who was still in touch with Hannah’s family. Hannah’s grandmother had taken custody of the child because Hannah’s mother had been neglecting the baby girl.

Sidney continued to show signs of being spiritually aware. When he looked at his grandmother, he would sometimes look beside her or over her and giggle. Yvonne sensed then that her grandson was able to see in the spirit realm. That belief was confirmed one day when Sidney was about four years old.

He was with Yvonne in her office when she asked him to another room in the house to get something for her. He jumped up and started toward the door. Then, all of a sudden he stopped and wouldn’t go another step. He backed up closer to where his grandmother was sitting.

“What’s wrong, Sid?” she asked.

“Von-Von, who is that?” He pointed toward the hallway. She intuitively knew what was happening because she had seen the spirit of young boy flash across her foyer several days prior.

“I’m not sure what his name is,” she said, “but he will not harm you. Let’s call upon Archangels Chamuel and Michael.” Yvonne pulled Sid into her lap. He was still staring at the doorway.

“Archangels Michael and Chamuel,” she said, “We have the spirit of a lost boy in our house. Please come and help him see the light and go to a safe place where he can find his friends and family. Thank you.”

“He’s gone,” Sidney said. Then, he slid off Von-Von’s lap and walked through the doorway without hesitation.

Yvonne began to write about their adventures and the next thing she knew, she had a collection of stories. She compiled them into one full-color print book and titled it The Sid Series ~ A Collection of Holistic Stories for Children. These twelve stories support intuitive children in the development of body, mind, and spirit. In the The Sid Series your child will:

• Learn about inner guidance through a garden visit with the fairies

• Face the fear of storms in a kayak on the Banana River

• Help a pirate find the real hidden treasure

• Find a ghost in Sid’s closet

• Use loving intention to heal a hurt puppy

I invite you to look inside the book at http://thesidseries.com/

Make the Voices in My Head Stop!

by Yvonne Perry

Recently, I have heard several parents and a teacher tell about children who hear voices in their heads. The adult’s responses range from being worried about the kids having a mental/emotional disturbance to accepting the child as being psychic and/or clairaudient. I’d like to share those stories as case studies to show how these voices can be eliminated or turned down.

Generally speaking, when a child hears voices or sees ghosts, it is usually an indication that he has wandered into the ghost world rather than the ghost actually seeking the child out to taunt him or her. If a child is trying to escape a situation for whatever reason, he may dissociate from present reality and wander into the realm where souls live who have not crossed over after departing from the body. Once a child has tapped into this realm, it is easy to continue to do so even without intending to. It is especially important for empathic children (and adults) to recognize their own vibrational resonance, but many are not able to discern what their own energy feels like enough to know when it has roamed into foreign territory or when their own energy field is being violated.

In one case study, a child told his teacher that the voices in his head come and go throughout the day but won’t stay away permanently. When the voices begin screaming, the boy holds his hands over his ears and cries, “The voices! The voices!” His mother told the teacher that this started happening when the boy was two years old.

The voices frighten the child but he says he can only make them go away temporarily in his “thinking” (telepathically) not his words. He has described to his mother people who have passed (that he didn’t know prior). One of these is the child’s grandpa (who is deceased) and he tells him to fight the voices. While I’m sure grandpa with his ghostly advice is well meaning, fighting is a form of resistance and will only serve to make the voices worse. By the way, I’m sensing that the grandpa has not crossed over because he feels a need to protect the grandson. The grandpa may be projecting his own fear onto the boy. And, the boy says that he was sent here to protect his mother.

Whatever we think about comes about. The universe will allow us to experience or attract more of whatever we focus our energy and attention upon. In this case study, once the voices started harassing this boy, he reacted with fear, which gives the entities the energy they need to continue their activity. Once the boy turned his attention to the voices, he expected them to continue bothering him—and they are happy to comply. Thus, he attracts more of the same. Obviously, this child is in tune with the other side and not just because he is in their territory. He is indeed psychic, and he needs to know how to turn off the voices. He has innocently been serving as a punching bag and laughing stock for ghosts and as a surrogate for his deceased grandpa’s fear, in addition to feeling responsible for his mother’s well-being. Such a huge emotional burden for a young child!

All children can be taught to stand in their personal spiritual power to protect themselves from this kind of ghostly nuisance. This is best done by inviting higher vibrating energy such as the Holy Spirit, angels, archangels, and ascended masters into their auric field. Part of the problem here is a lack of education. Unfortunately, most parents teachers, school counselors, and therapists are not trained to deal with psychic children who see ghosts or hear voices. The children of today are psychic like no other generation prior, and we have a responsibility to help them manage their intuitive gifts.

As adults, we can’t afford to stand by ignorantly and do nothing while these kids suffer. A child who is taught from a very early age to listen to their internal and higher vibrational guidance and establish a spiritual practice can avoid being bombarded by the negative chatter of the collective consciousness of Earth—that cluttered, confusing field of detrimental energy coming from the chaos of the thoughts and emotions generated by souls (in body and disembodied) on this planet.

By recognizing their own divine guidance, kids can immediately know when they are in contact with a voice of one who does not have their best interest at heart. The best thing you can teach a psychic child is that he is more powerful than any earthbound spirit and that ghosts have to adhere to any boundary we set with them. The great news is that all entities can be blocked or removed. However, if we believe that we or our clearing methods are powerless, we will attract the ghost right back to us. This is the law of attraction at work and as you can see, it applies to kids exactly the same way as it does adults. Consistently maintaining energetic boundaries and listening for the kind and loving intuitive voice within us will cause a shift in focus and bring about a pleasant change. No one deserves to have ghostly voices screaming in their heads. As with anything else, you can say no! Teach your children to do the same.

In a book that I wrote with Dr. Caron Goode, we discuss how to clear and protect your personal auric field and establish healthy boundaries with entities. While the book is written for energy-sensitive adults, the exercises can be done by any child who needs help shutting off the negative voices in his head. Whose Stuff Is This? Finding Freedom From the Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You (ISBN: 9780982572245), is a guidebook for empathic people who have been unknowingly carrying energetic burdens that belong to someone else. It will help readers learn to sense their own energy and let go of the bits and pieces of psychic clutter that does not belong to them. Learn more at http://whosestuffisthis.com/ .
